My Spirit Journey

My Long Over Due Spiritual Quest

NaNoWriMo: The Bay of Seven Moons

I will probably regret this but I felt compelled to try so I signed up to participate in the NaNoWriMo. I will have to write 2000 words a day for 30 days on a novel. I have no idea what this novel is but I have titled it The Bay of Seven Moons and it will be about a woman’s journey through self discovery after she finds herself teetering on the edge of suicide through the dedicated work of a psychotherapist. It will be completely fiction however as I am sure most writers do I will be drawing from the well of my own life. I have no idea if I can do this but I figure it will not hurt to try. I will be posting my submissions on this blog. I was going to just use The World According to Lisa but decided since this is using some things from my life and because it is of a spiritual nature I will use this blog here.  The posts that are of that writing will be titled NaNoWriMo so you will know in advance if its not something you want to waste time reading.

These blogs are about Lisa the woman and the dog owner and the photographer. I am a 46 year old woman who has experienced a tremendous amount of pain and joy in her life. In the past year alone I have made some big changes such as moving three times, finding peace and growing as a spiritual being. I also am a student as of April 2013 at The Center of Sacred Studies. I discovered the Thirteen Indigenous Grandmothers from a book a friend lent me and through them I discovered a path I wanted to travel down which led me to CSS. I am at a pivotal time in my life that has me reexamining how I think, feel, pray and interact with others. I invite you to join me as I discover new things about myself and the world at large. I will share with you all I learn and come to know but remember my truth may not be yours. I only encourage to be open and to consider all the possibilities this life has to offer. Namaste

  1. Very cool! I may just make NaNoWriMo into my own personal writing challenge, to get my not-really-lazy-butt going on my own book. It’s not fiction though, but this will inspire me to work on it much more. ;-)

  2. That would be great Julianne… would be my first writing buddy!!
